Shipping, Delivery Times and Returns

Calculate shipping costs before checkout

Many of our body add-on parts are longer than two metres and, due to their size and large girth, are shipped as bulky goods.

Shipping costs depend in particular on the following factors:

• delivery country and region
• size and weight of the items ordered
• required bulky-goods category
• number of parcels and whether they can be combined
• available shipping carrier

A general flat shipping rate or free standard shipping is therefore unfortunately not possible for these items.

You can calculate the shipping costs available for your cart directly on the cart page. Select your delivery country and enter the required address details. All applicable shipping costs are displayed before you complete the order.

We do not add a shipping surcharge; we pass on the transport costs incurred for the respective order. In some cases, we even cover part of the actual shipping costs.

Direct bulky-goods shipping

Depending on the item and destination, Maxton Design products are shipped directly from the manufacturer in Poland to the specified delivery address.

This avoids unnecessary interim storage and additional transport routes. However, due to their exceptional parcel dimensions, these shipments can only be handled by selected carriers.

Depending on the size, weight, parcel dimensions and delivery address, shipping is handled by Austrian Post, DPD, GLS, UPS or an appointed freight forwarder. The carrier used depends on the relevant transport requirements and availability. It is therefore not possible to freely choose the carrier for every order.

Production and delivery time

The production time stated on the relevant product page is calculated in business days. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are not business days.

Production begins after successful receipt of payment or confirmation of the order. The goods are then handed over to the carrier.

Transport time is additional to the stated production time and depends on the delivery country, carrier and shipping volume. Collection and onward transport of bulky goods may take longer than for ordinary parcels.

The production time stated on the product page is therefore not a guaranteed delivery date.

Multiple items in one order

Whether several body parts can be shipped together depends on their size, shape and packaging requirements.

Even when several items are ordered together, multiple bulky-goods parcels or different shipping categories may be required. The shipping costs calculated for the entire cart are displayed before the order is completed.

Deliveries outside the European Union

Deliveries to countries outside the European Union may be subject to additional import duties, customs charges, taxes or handling fees.

These costs are not included in our product or shipping prices and may be collected by the responsible authorities or the appointed carrier. The recipient is responsible for paying these additional costs.

As a general rule, no import duties are charged within the European Union for cross-border deliveries between EU member states.

Acceptance and inspection of the delivery

Please inspect the packaging for visible damage when the delivery is handed over.

If transport damage is visible, please:

1. note the damage on the delivery note or handover receipt where possible,
2. photograph the damaged packaging and the item,
3. retain all packaging,
4. contact us as soon as possible and provide your order number.

For consumers, failure to report damage at the time of delivery does not automatically result in the loss of statutory rights. Prompt documentation does, however, make it considerably easier for us to process the matter with the carrier.

Please always contact us first regarding transport damage. We will then coordinate the necessary steps with the carrier appointed by us.

Right of withdrawal and returns

Consumers may generally withdraw from an online purchase contract within 14 days of receiving the goods. Sending a clear notice of withdrawal within the deadline is sufficient to comply with the time limit.

After declaring the withdrawal, the goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than within 14 days.

Please contact us before returning goods. We will provide the correct return address and the information required for the return. Maxton Design products must not be returned to an arbitrary company or manufacturer address without prior coordination.

This request to contact us in advance does not affect the statutory right of withdrawal.

Return shipping costs

In the event of withdrawal where the product is not defective, the buyer bears the direct cost of returning the goods, provided that the buyer was properly informed of this before completing the order.

Due to their size, body add-on parts often cannot be returned using an ordinary parcel service. The cost of returning bulky goods or using a freight forwarder can therefore be considerable.

Estimated return costs for bulky items that cannot normally be returned by post:

• Austria: approx. €60–180
• Germany: approx. €80–220
• other EU countries: approx. €100–300
• freight forwarding required: approx. €150–400

Statutory warranty rights apply to defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered goods. In such cases, please contact us before returning the goods so that we can arrange the next steps and, where applicable, collection.

Condition of returned goods

Where possible, please return the item:

• complete,
• securely packaged,
• with all accessories,
• preferably in its original packaging, and
• without unnecessary signs of use.

You may inspect the goods in the same way as would be possible in a retail store. If the goods are handled beyond this, installed, damaged or altered, compensation for any resulting loss in value may be due where permitted by law.

The mere absence of or damage to the original packaging does not automatically result in the complete exclusion of a refund.

Custom-made products

The statutory right of withdrawal may be excluded for goods made to customer specifications or clearly tailored to personal requirements.

Merely ordering a standard item offered by the manufacturer does not automatically constitute a custom-made product. Any applicable exclusion will therefore be expressly stated for the relevant product before purchase.

Statutory warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply to defective goods or goods that do not conform to the contract.

Any additional manufacturer's warranty does not restrict these statutory rights. Damage caused by improper installation, use other than intended, subsequent modifications or normal wear and tear may be excluded from warranty claims to the extent permitted by law.
